Costa Rica is creating waves in the international tourism sector by strategically targeting European travelers with a remarkable display of presence at the IFTM Top Resa 2024 Fair in Paris. The event was one of the most significant in Europe, as it promoted tourism and conducted business across the European markets, allowing Costa Rica to put together its natural beauty, richness in culture, and an array of ecotourism activities.

Here is how Costa Rica is grabbing French tourists’ attention and cementing its stature as a not-to-be-missed destination.

1. Vibrant participation at the IFTM Top Resa Fair

Costa Rica’s participation in the IFTM Top Resa 2024 Fair was eye-catching. Along with its striking stand and dynamic negotiations headed by 15 leading Costa Rican tourism companies, the country stood out for presenting innovative and appealing experiences to European travelers.

The above companies showcased current tourism options in Costa Rica, ranging from biodiversity attractions, adventure tourism, and wellness resorts to sustainable travel possibilities.

2. Costa Rica in Paris Metro Stations

Costa Rica used over 200 interactive screens to increase its reach in four of Paris’s busiest metro stations: St Lazare, Montparnasse, Paris Nord, and Gare de Lyon. These screens featured beautiful images of Costa Rica’s lush rainforests, pristine beaches, and vibrant biodiversity, giving commuters a glimpse of the country’s unmatched natural beauty.

3. Interactive Experience at St Lazare Station

The major attraction of Costa Rica’s promotional campaign was the interactive experience zone at the St Lazare metro station. People passing by the station could come and take pictures with different lush tropical backgrounds and more information about the tourist attractions in Costa Rica. This highly innovative approach not only gets attention but also makes memories for potential travelers.

4. A Strategic Move for European Market Positioning

Participation in the IFTM Top Resa Fair was not just about showing off the beauty of Costa Rica but also a strategic approach to strengthen the country’s position in the European tourism market. In his words, Costa Rica’s Minister of Tourism, William Rodríguez, describes the fair as a “unique opportunity for Costa Rican tourism companies to establish important negotiations and engage in complementary promotional actions that resonate with the European audience.”

5. Why France is Important for Costa Rica’s Tourism Strategy

France is an important market for Costa Rica’s tourism industry, as French tourists increasingly look for destinations that are environmentally friendly, full of biodiversity, and authentic in culture. The country’s efforts to increase its visibility and directly connect with the French public have helped Costa Rica not only increase the number of tourists but also connect more profoundly with European travelers.

Conclusion

All those endeavors presented during the IFTM Top Resa 2024 Fair indicate efforts put into Costa Rica when implementing tourism innovations globally. Among fascinating displays at Paris metro stations, through the participation of different active business negotiations with them and more, the state sets up a destination worthy of French and European citizens generally.

Costa Rica is the only travel destination for persons in quest of adventure that is intertwined with sustainability and natural aspects.
